Background to Family to Children

We started our work in Yekaterinburg and Sverdlovsk Region with European Childrens Fund in 2000. In 2003 we registered The Sverdlovsk Regional Non-Commercial Organisation Non-Commercial Partnership EveryChild. In 2009 we are going through the process of legal reorganisation that is EveryChild is joining to Family to Children. We are planning to finish the process of reorganisation by the end of 2009 when Non-Commercial Partnership Family to Children will be a legal successor of The Sverdlovsk Regional Non-Commercial Organisation Non-Commercial Partnership EveryChild reserving its mission and activities goals.

What have we succeeded in?


Supporting Vulnerable Children in Yekaterinburg and Sverdlovsk Region Project (2000 - 2003)

Results: Models of social support to families and children were initiated and developed at 3 pilot sites that is in Yekaterinburg, Nizhnaya Tura, Revda. 


Improving Quality and Accessibility of Social Services for Children and their Families Project (2003 - 2008).

611 children and their families took part in the project.

Results:

590 children out of 611 live in their biological families
12 children out of 611 was placed into foster families
Only 9 out of 611 went into childrens home


Urgent Accommodation for Vulnerable Mothers Project (2007 - 2008)

Results: 7 babies stayed with their mothers thanks to timely social, economical and psychological support to young women. 284 families with children were  provided with economical aid and counselling. 


Mobile Social Team Project (2007 2009)

Results: During a year 36 families at risk where 76 children are brought up were given a regular social, medical, psychological and economical support and learnt how to cope with difficulties themselves.


Early Intervention Project (2007 2009)

Results: 101 families with children with disabilities are being given high-qualified social, medical and psychological support due to which these children stayed in loving families.
